By and large, I usually keep all the fields turned on by default to save time when creating a new contact (who just may happen to be the one to break the pattern).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;And re: tree functionality, that would be even better, as it would know the context of the relationship... meaning other Mac software could do even smarter things with the data.
